Tim Jagielo is an award-winning photographer and journalist living in Grand Blanc Township.

 

Jagielo works for the Tri-County Times in Fenton as media editor, where he takes photos, makes news and feature videos, and writes stories.  

​

As an independent filmmaker, he makes music videos, promotional videos and documentaries. 

​

Jagielo is also a wedding and portrait photographer.

The Seventh Fire
Spring 2019

"The Seventh Fire" details Ojibwe people in Michigan's Upper Peninsula reclaiming traditions  that were nearly lost due to colonization and assimilation. These include arts, ceremony and language.  To be released spring 2019.

Music Looks Like This

This short documentary offers a cross section, and an insight into Detroit video production company Gold House Media as they produce music videos for several mid-Michigan musical artists.

The 66-minute video explores the lives of residents in rural Virginia, who are aided by Holly-based non-profit aid agency Angel Haven Foundation. The small but dedicated group takes an excess of 40,000 pounds of goods to the impoverished residents each year, who in part rely on their aid for survival.

For Love of Libya
February 2012

This is Jagielo's first documentary, shot on a flip cam. It delves into life in Benghazi, Libya, following the ouster of Moammar Ghadaffi, and the role residents played, including Fenton resident Mustafa Ghariani, who was spokesperson for the rebel forces.

Jagielo consistently wins Michigan Press Association (MPA) Awards for visual story telling. In 2018, he took first, second, third for news photography, and an honorable mention for innovative (video) story telling.
